State Street's Global Outreach program recognizes the difference that committed
volunteers bring to effecting change in a community's quality of life. The program
matches State Street employee volunteers and community organizations requiring
assistance. Although all employees are encouraged to volunteer on their own
time, State Street also provides employees a 'volunteer release' day, a paid
workday available to use for volunteer activity.
Past volunteer events have included: Habitat for Humanity, as part of Global
Volunteer Day, Eva's Initiatives, and the Children's Aid Foundation of Greater Toronto.
